2012 ODP SUBMISSIONS

Public Submissions on the "revised" Outline Development Plan closed 11th April 2012.   For your information, we have selected four submissions which make for compelling reading (click on the bold titles to view/download):

FOMRE FORMAL SUBMISSION (pdf 1.6MB).   This is the complete submission prepared on behalf of FOMRE by Dr Roger Severn, a Sustainable Development Consultant and former committee member of FOMRE.  Roger was intimately involved in earlier submissions for the original ODP, and the Local Planning Strategy/Scheme LPS / LPS9.

GINGIN WATER GROUP SUBMISSION (pdf 67kB).  This group was set up with a mandate to gain an understanding, on behalf of the community in the greater Gingin region , of  the sustainability of the current and  future use of the water resource available to it and make comment on proposals in the area which may impact on that resource.  The ODP falls within the scope of this group's focus.

SAMEC LEGAL SUBMISSION (pdf 347kB).  Mr Ernest Samec of SAMEC LEGAL has reviewed the ODP documentation and prepared a considered legal opinion which makes for compelling reading.   It is clear that the term "revised" ODP warrants investigation as this impacts on the obligations of the developer.

G LAMONT ENVIRONMENTAL SUBMISSION (pdf 471kB).   Gillian and Neil Lamont are permanent residents of Guilderton.  Gillian has significant expertise in environmental issues surrounding this submission and has reviewed the impact on remnant vegetation, flora and fauna.  This submission reveals shortcomings in the assessment of the environmental impact of this ODP, together with issues of employment, access and water supply.
