Gingin Shire releases TPS9 for comment - 04.07.2011

Gingin Shire has released the long awaited Local Planning Strategy (LPS) and also Local Planning Scheme No. 9 (TPS 9) for comment.

Both documents can be viewed on the Shire website, at the Shire offices  and at the Guilderton Visitor Centre. Please consider reading them and making a submission to one or both of them. Ratepayers have been sent notification and submission forms in the mail, and they can be downloaded from the Shire website. Submissions are due by Monday 29th August.

Once these plans are gazetted (Approved by WAPC) they form the rules by which the Shire and developers work. If current constraints are absent in the new plans, then they will no longer apply. It is therefore imperative that whatever protections already exist for the river, are strengthened, rather than removed.
